External Web Sites
Two external web sites are important.
edTPA at AACTE Stanford University, SCALE, and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) have combined to provide password protected access to sensitive edTPA documents for educator preparation programs. These documents are housed in a resource library at http://edtpa.aacte.org. Local edTPA Coordinators manage accounts for faculty, classroom supervising/cooperating teachers, university/college supervisors, and other stakeholders so individuals can access documents related to edTPA housed at that site. Newcomers should request an account through their campus edTPA Coordinator, department chair, or dean. A Note About Materials Specific to the State of Washington While it has no effect on our work in Illinois, there are numerous documents posted in the Resource Library at edtpa.aacte.org specifically created to meet requirements of the State of Washington. As those new to edTPA navigate the resource library, they should be careful not to download Washington state specific materials in place of "national" materials. edTPA: Teacher Candidates and the Public Stanford University and SCALE maintain a separate, publicly available site with general information for teacher candidates, interested stakeholders, and the general public. The documents and information house on this site do not require password-based access nor an individual account. While the information available at www.edtpa.com is important, it is much less specific than the documents and information available at http://edtpa.aacte.org. Admittedly, some information is more readily available at edtpa.com (i.e., submission dates and subsequent score reporting dates) than it is at edtpa.aacte.org. |
